It's almost impossible to drive though Nippenose Valley without taking a moment to appreciate the quaint serenity and bounty of a landscape that flourishes even during the bitterest of winters. It is a vast span of farmland, forests, and winding mountain roads. Nippenose Valley is a modern day community with a rustic Americana feel. It captures the essence of a Norman Rockwell painting, mom's apple pie, and a time that was much simpler. Friendly smiles and waves are commonplace and time almost seems to tick by a little bit slower. Settled in the late 1700's and established in the early 1800's, Nippenose Valley continues to be home to the ancestors of the very first families to settle there. Approximately 3500 warm-hearted souls call Nippenose Valley their home. It is with their help, that potent soils can do God's work. It is truly the proverbial, “Land That Time Forgot.” It almost seems like you have entered another world when you see a hayride on Halloween, big antlers at the cabin, Clydesdales pulling the plows, Little League baseball games, tree farms, pony rides, or simply a peaceful October moon keeping vigil upon “The Sleeping Elephant” & "The Seven Sisters." |
